Hi

I am living in Delhi and already have acqaguard (nearly 7 yrs old) which is currently working fine.

Now few days back my son has got typhoid and as it is a water born disease, i think the water is not getting filtered properly. We checked it with the regular technician who is handling and changing the cartridge as the machine is under AMC from acquguard. But he said that the water is fine.

But still for some precaution, i want to buy a new water purifier. Pls tell if i use acqaguard as well as any other purifier, will it be fine. As I want to buy something like: TATA-Swach or Hindustan Unilever-Pureit or Usha Brita-Waterguard Max SF 1724T.

Pls give your views on cleaning the water first from acqaguard and then by the Tata swach or ....

How pure the water is from these Swach etc as I had heard that Govt. had checked all the water purifiers even the ROs but most of them have found virus in water but Pureit (as in the ad) says that it is free from virus.

Pls give your views?

first check if your son had eat something from out side in hotel or ice gola or juice or even drinking water from hotel where they do not have filter water. Any one, just don't rush to change Filter but first habit & than filter.

also if you have a overhead tank clean it regularly :ohyeah:

don't always/everytime drink very very pure water. some exposure to few bacteria and viruses are needed to train a robust immune system.

btw in our house we have a 10 yr old aquaguard purifier :ashamed: which is still working fine. we just drink boiled water sometimes when power is cut for long times :P
