Most of these torrent sites have gone to the dogs. None of them have server loads like we see on other p2p sites. Why collect donations every month ?

I fear its just a money making scheme by BWT.

its there site and they do a lot good to us in many ways

its not just the site, the tracker is the one which require huge resources(both in terms of processing power and bandwidth).So,i wouldn't be surprised if they actually did spend 1.2k$ per month.

do you know that t-shirt thing is promoted from member /sponsor not from Bwt staff or owner .

purpose of such is to encourage people who can afford to do , when you donate do you - you should not expect that I want this & that on behalf of my donations , if you do whts the meaning of such donation ?

server loads on p2p sites , think of more than 50 K + , leeching & uping in Terabytes , other than that without any redirect script , etc .

and it's p2p - illegal activity stuff , it's not just renting some seedbox of cheap hosting , you have to set up dedicated space / bandwidth & everything & all that comes with high price .

there are some incidents of money making rip offs from p2p that doesn't mean all are same .

I dont know why ppl r unnecessarily targeting bwt..it's One of the BEST desi torrent sites out there...asking for contributions is neither new or unique to bwt alone, many sites do that..& ask me,now who wouldn't honestly want a bwt invite any day....ppl may speak rubbish,still they steal.. dbl talk...& NO one is Forcing u to pay!..the tracker may b down..but would soon be up..believe that..without the contributors of some shameless leechers!
..& i dont represent bwt anyway!

Uploading Terabytes of data? All bull$hit.
They aren't seeding anything, they are just running the trackers and all the tracker does is give the list of IP's , peers,etc it doesnt give you the actual content of the files.

Now if you say they are actually seeding it from dedicated seedboxes.. then i say bull$hit again. They have made seeding thing seem like a privilige of serving the god and because of that some stupid guys are using their university connection for seeding.

Everyone is here to make money.. no one does it for free..
