Byond Tech has launched their new phablet. Dubbed the Byond Phablet PI, the PI phablet comes offering a dual core solution, into a market already crowded by quad core phones. The few things going for the Byond Phablet PI is the big 5.3 inch IPS display as well as the moderately justified price tag. Or perhaps the good looking (Galaxy Grand inspired) design as well.

Sporting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Byond Phablet PI packs a nice set of features that make the phone an attractive proposal. If you can look beyond the dual core chipset, you do get 1 GB of RAM, a large 5.3 inch qHD IPS display, a big 2000 mAh battery and an 8 MP camera at the back. The phablet even sports a nice looking design. The one thing that you may not like is the heavy weight of the phone, coming in at 188 grams.

Perhaps if Byond were to update their Phablet PI with a quad core chipset, an HD display and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (and even increase the price if they may), we would see a real good Micromax Canvas HD competitor here.
