Played the game for a whole of about 45 minutes. Was my first MMORPG also. Overall, would rate it as just ok, to me it was more of turns based strategy, rather than RTS. Another con was that I found the learning curve a bit steep, but playable nonetheless.

To play the game, the user needs to have a EA account. The user needs to enter his email address. following which they are presented with options to log in if existing user else sign up for a new account.

In the beta, the user can only play as GDI, NOD is locked out. The tutorials are very well designed and good. Due to the steep learning curve, found myself turning back to them several times.

However, the options are, IMO extremely mind boggling. You need to upgrade each unit and building several times to attain the desired effect. This seems to be an extension of Red Aert 3, where certain buildings need to be upgraded to deploy powerful units. It would have been easier if an option to upgrade all buildings of same type was implemented.

Also, placement strategy is very important, you need to place them in the correct areas for enhanced bonuses. Also, certain buidling cannot be placed next to each other. This is a bit of a quirk, but ok.

TBH, I got tired of the game in the first 10 minutes. The tasks given were extremely mundane and

. But played on and till then resorted to upgrading my base.

A very big con here is that the men and vehicles have limited ammo and they can move only in a straight line. Having played almost all the C&C games, and loving them all [Maybe with the exception of RA3], this turned to be a bit of a damper.

Another issue is about saving. I have no idea if the game was saved, may have to continue playing from beginning.

Finally, you can purchase/get Free2Play points to increase your resources if needed. You can either purchase them OR complete some offers to get them. I did complete an offer, but not sure if I got the points.

Finally, it also supports webGL which i shall be trying out now. A restart is needed to use webGL.

Update:

Playing the game as of now. And found out that there is an upgrade button for one click upgrading.

Even though server was down when I first tried afterward, seems that the game was running still
<
All bonuses were full.

As for the placement issues, got the hang of it with the help of the move tool.

Overall, pretty awesome, must say. Lovin' it

Update 2 :

Unable to activate webGL. Restarting makes it fall back to normal.

Update 3:

webGL does not work. Getting a blank screen.

To research future upgrades is very expensive. IMO, it would take several weeks to do the same, so EA is expecting us to pay for the funds out of our own pockets.

The game is pretty addictive, and now that I am at level 10, have found out how to get certain things fast. Plus, the enemy is no longer acting dumb, but starting to warm up as well. This has greatly improved the gameplay as well.

However, not finding any allies on the maps. Messaged my neigbours, but none of them replied back.

The only issue which i have now is the login, each time, have to enter username/password. Pretty irritating.

Agree that its not as good as our beloved C&C series. This is more of a waterdown version of the games we play. However, as my first MMORPG, found it good enough. Initially, hated it. But then, now found that they have made it pretty enticing enough. Plus the enemies are equally tough as well.

Anyways, this is Vivek, signing off on Command & Conquer : Tiberium Allliances. I would rate it a 7.5/10 for good gameplay, decent graphics and fast loading times. Negative for server issues, twice servers were down for maintainence, and the fact that to do research is very expensive, makes the deal a bit sour.
