i ordered e8500 C2D proccy and 1333 mhz ddr3 ram, and intel original dp45sg mobo.

is this a good cofig. itcosted me 22 k total.is itvalue for money????
 
Never think about stuff that you've already ordered. This is TE - there would be umpteen number of views.

The config looks good. I would've preferred some other mobo though.
 
Well no point of discussing as you have already ordered above stuff.

i feel DDR2 was the way to go for now instead of DDR3.and ofcourse instead of intel original you could have gone for either gigabyte,msi or asus.
 
intel board + ddr3 wont be that good , it will probably run them at crap timings and u cant oc , u could have got P45 board + 1066mhz ram and better performance than DDR3 + intel G45 !
 
Gigabyte-EP35C-DS3R support both DDR2 and DDR3 around-7.5k

Gigabyte-EP45C-DS3R again support for both...not sure but should around 10k

P35 PLATINUM COMBO around- 8k
 
u mean these if i buy locally?? i am not buying through KMD..

i will try Gigabyte-EP35C-DS3R support both DDR2 and DDR3 around-7.5k

is this mobo overclockable

how much MSI P45D3 Platinum locally???
 
i now ordered C2D E8500 (3.16 Ghz) , 2 X 1 GB 1066 Mhz Ocz Ram, asus P5Q mobo .....is it a good . it is good config??? is it good for 1.5 years to come??? i will upgrade ram to 4 gb 1200 mhz when price come down

This is a good combo.. Add a good aftermrket cooler & you are all set..

BTW where have you ordered from??

does anyone know to how much GHz the e 8500 can be overclocked with stock cooler???
 
Isnt there an edit button on this forum ? Well sorry for the dumb post I made. You can take it to 3.6-3.8Ghz with the stock cooler. And 4.8Ghz-5Ghz with a good aftermarket cooler.

Logtech?? I hate those guys.. Quotes some insane prices & would stick onto them whatever we say, they say their's the best price..

It was arnd some 6 months back i went there last time, asked for a 9600GT & they told 18K!!! (Most dealers over here were selling it for arnd 9K that time) I again confirmed wether its the 9600GT, they said yes its for the XFX 9600GT & the price is 18K and not a paise less.. I said politly that "I just want a single card, not two" & left..

Considering this the prices you've got is pretty decent.. Got any contacts there??
