First query : How cheap? Answer : Rs. 6000

The C2D "system"

This is an HCL laptop without the screen. So a more appropriate term would be "blade" as in blade server.
Model No : B28-C2D
Main Specs :
C2D T5750
2GB RAM
160 GB HDD
DVD Writer
4 USB ports, VGA out, LAN and Modem.
The slot may be cardbus or express.

Physical condition : The body is in mint condition except for the screw holes for the hinges which are broken.

Recommended usage : It is intended to be used as a desktop cabinet plugged to an external monitor, speakers and preferably keyboard and mouse. The best feature about the blade is that the front side is devoid of any port/sockets. So ideally, it can be placed standing on it's front edge, thus occupying minimal space. Ofcourse one can also use it on it's base, as a laptop, since the keypad, touchpad and speakers are functional.

Drawbacks : The biggest drawback of the blade is the Via chipset in it. So don't expect a sterling gaming performance. Other than that the battery is dead.

In the box : HCL blade, adapter. (dead battery not included to reduce shipping costs).

As always, I am not willing to ship it outside Kerala. But, if no localite turns up after a suitable interval, I shall reconsider.

is this still available.if yes can you tell me do you have the housing for the screen.With the housing the potential buyer(like me) would be able to get a new screen installed.
 
rdst_1 : the screen housing is cracked, you will need a new housing.

sushantsjain: I'll let you know in a few days if I am unable to close the deal locally.
 
sudeep : you will need to ask local HCL service center or local repair dude. You can expect to pay about 1500 for a used shell.

I have upgraded the CPU to a T8100 - PENRYN core, 3MB cache. Price hiked to 7000.
