Hey guys,

I am looking for something huger to replace my SLB. I love the SLB for the mobility that is afforded and that my back will live a few more years but I need a little more room.

My budget is Rs 6000/-

Please give me your suggestions.

Transparent Side panel is a plus point but not a absolute must. Want a lot of drive bays. Maybe something like what Rahul reviewed recently?

Regards,

Karan

Get a real chassis this time, one that you won't have to change for another 3-5 years... you know what I'm talking about :D

^^^ :P He means the coolermaster stacker 830...That will set you back by 14k....

For your budget the cm praetorian or the antec plusview2 maybe....

I think I've already talked him into it lol... at least the Stacker 810, which I can get for around 9k.

Karan, if you cant afford the stacker, try the PlusView2... I have one and i would say it has plenty of room and damn heavy. (This is definately not a portable one!)
Plus points: Lots of internal space, trasparent side panel, 120mm rear fan, stylish, complete black

Neg points: Heavy, very tall, b careful of knocking down the front panel door as it rests on hinges only, 80mm fan in front

what abt availablility re.... blore guys, is this model available here?

vinyas was recommending BX-01B-B-B but it is supposedly not available here :(

My two bit, I would not move to a SEC case from an all aluminum. The SLB is an all Aluminum case, i would move to a 830 ideally ;-)
Even a plusview 2 is a SEC case. If you are in a costal city like mumbai, a SEC case looks really bad after 2 years.
The advantage of an all alum, is that you don't have to worry on the paint and also heat conductivity is great. Another strong point is that edges and grills in a SEC case start rusting due to wear and tear. I have seen some old Chieftec's and Chenbro's and they look bad after 3 years, but I dare say you SLB, still with a little of cleaning would sparkle.

^^Pretty valid point actually. Once you get used to aluminium, SECC seems so crappy that using one feels lame. That was the biggest reason why I looked at Stacker 830 and no other case cos after alu, there's no turning back.
