Cable/dongle options for graphics card's DisplayPort 1.4 output -> 4K 120/144Hz display on TV with HDMI 2.1 input?

Does anyone have experience with the requirement in the title? (The graphics card at hand does not have HDMI 2.1 output, only HDMI 2.0b.)

There seem to be a range of cable/dongle products that could handle this, so I thought of first checking with you folks for any potential recommendations, or specific products/sellers/pitfalls to watch out for.

Also, any thoughts around whether a cable or a dongle would be an objectively better solution?
(The cable would be a male DisplayPort on one end, and a male HDMI on the other. The dongle would be a male DisplayPort with a female HDMI out, which, in turn, would lead to the TV via a separate ultra high speed HDMI cable.)

Nothing has been purchased so far.
