Call Of Duty 1 not running......

today after long time i started the COD1 game..... it is one of my favorite game...... but on running it gave "Buffer overrun Detected"......:@

did a google search and found the issue is with the drivers.... the latest divers dont support the old games like this anymore........:huh:

can anyone suggest aalternative solution to going back to older drivers to run this game...........
 
Try running it in XP compatibility mode? or Try running it with 1 core? or reinstall some age old drivers and see if its working.

Tried those too....... i know it would definitely run with the old drivers..... but i dont want to keep switching between new drivers and old drivers....... there should be some permanent solution for this........

trying the above solution now...

EDIT: it started working now..........just pasted the "atioglxx.dll" file in the folder of COD1........... its strange, why cant amd include that single file"atioglxx.dll" from older versions of drivers to new drivers.........??:huh:
