Calling all airtel broadband and counter strike players HELP !!

ok guys here's the problem : -

i have 2mbps internet connection shared by 4-5 people ..

now if no one is downloading anything or using the net below 50-60 KB/s , my counter strike gives me 40-50 ping constant

but when someone starts watching youtube or the speed goes above 100 KB/s my ping goes like 300-400ms ,, i have been an airtel users for past 4 years but this was not the case with my 1mbps connection ..(even using full 1mbps connection ping never rose even 1ms) ..

is it because i have 2mbps connection ?? was my 1mbps better for gaming ??

how do i solve this problem as i am unable to play :( properly , ping/latency bounces a lot when people browse the net but was not the case in 1mbps connection ..

help !!
 
Well you can allocate bandwidth from the router if your router supports it. That way you can equally divide bandwidth (or unequally) which should ensure a consistent latency. Otherwise I don't see how you can expect to have good latency when other users are using high bandwidth applications like youtube or torrents.

my router is beetel 450tc1 and it doesn't supports bandwidth allocation ..

when i had 1mbps airtel connection , this was not the case , even if others downloaded or used torrents , the latency didn't even moved a little bit ..and btw cs only used like 5-9KB/s so it doesn't requires that much bandwidth ..is something wrong with the 2mbps airtel plan ?? 1bmps was better ??

so is it airtel problem ??
is there any way to complain them online ?? as complaining on a phone will be like they wont understand the problem ..
