I get to eat it almost every other day during this month

...after a tiring day of fasting it feels awesome to eat such delicacies :P and haleem being one of my fav.

and yeah as someone said ..haleem is best prepared by Hyderabadi people :).

guys who live in mumbai should also try other special dishes such as malpowa, kebabs and stuff.

Extremely delicious... especially if its hot.... Just add some lime & coriander as garnish.... You are good to go.... Yummy... Even the thought of it is waterin my mouth... I am going out to get some haleem... :):)

can we get to relish HALEEM @ MUMBAI ?

yeah dude ..head over to mohammed ali road near sandhrust road stn...

though you will have to get it from road side stalls ..it's actually nice.

or else you might get it @ restaurants like Shalimar,Delhi Darbar and maybe even bade miyan .(all in mumbai).

Anyone knows where I can find Veg Haleem in Hyderabad? I heard it's available but don't know where.

Very few cities seem to have local haleem joints except for either cities with a long and pedigreed Islamic heritage (like Hyd and Lucknow, and I guess Bhopal too) or cosmopolitan cities like Bombay and delhi

As for my order, I placed it in the evening so will be getting it only tomorrow evening....

Already drooling at the prospect :D

Pista house is few kilometers from my home. but they have a branch on my way back to home from work.:ohyeah:

btw, haleem from "pista house" is always "goat meat" AND "pure ghee". and they also sell veg haleem. but who cares?:bleh:

Haleem is available everywhere in the old city area of Ahmedabad :D . All year round. Yummy!

You might also want to try 'silli gosth' (pieces of meat skewered and dipped in eggs and then deep fried). Too many other things to mention as well... Samosas from 'Bera samosa house' are among the best in the country!

^^
I am sure you will be able too.....

Mom makes execellent haleem.... (Dads fav dish)
pity we have it at home only 7-8 times a year... but none the less its awesome....
Ofcourse we do get to eat at masjid or relatives place once in a while as well..... parcels are taken home as well :)
