Hi all,

My friend has the 1GB shuffle (Not the latest one)

He was away from home for some time and had no other way to charge it so he went ahead and bought a local wall socket charger for Rs. 70 (despite me telling him not to), tried to charge ipod with it, it didnot happen. Now the volume has gone down drastically. He can barely listen to any audio. The pod is not getting detected in itunes either. (i've checked on 3 PCs) When i connect it the orange light glows 3 times and then nothing happens. I've had it connect for more than 6 hours now.

Is it screwed?

HELP.

Step 1: Get it checked at an apple affiliated store.

If anything can be done, take into consideration the cost involved and the product value and future usage.

Stept 2: Ask him to purchase frank Mehta's ipod mini, which will anyday be a better option than that shuffle.
 
Its not under warrantee, Apple guys said Rs. 1k to check it for faults and further expences acordingly! its prolly better to buy a new one :rofl:

If that indeed is the case, tell him that had he got his pod fixed even for 1k, it wd have still been a shuffle and the capacity wd have stayed. Moreover wdnt have been a new ipod.

Get him to purchase frankie's pod.. the guy has been desp. to literally hand it over.
 
Try searching for this utility called shuffle reset or something like that. It was supposed to be a cure for the problem if your ipod just glows with a yello ight worked with mine.

It asks for ipod... says not connected when it is actually....

i wud have got his ipod but i didnt like his green colour!!
no way!!
i was also desperate to buy one such but the green colour sucks!!:P

aur use karo 70 rs wala charger :hap2: :hap2: :hap2: :tongue: :tongue: :tongue:

I have the same iPod mini that Frank Mehta has but in silver. Let me know if you're interested.
 
Bumping old thread to pass on info. I am using SharePod.

Wont ever install itunes again. This software does everything fine. Only 2-3 mb.
 
I hate ipod for the same reason :@

Anyway for repairing ipod noting works better than floola.. Its so small that you can even dump he executable in the ipod itself..
