Camera for hobby

Hey Guys,

My friends planning to take-up photography as a hobby. I'm not really sure about the camera world.

Could you please guys suggest some options?

Requirements

> Budget 15k
> Easy to operate
> Good Zoom
> Image stabilization & all that jazz

Get a Canon Powershot SX130 IS. It has lots of manual modes so that you can learn photography as a hobby and a good manual mode as well.

I have one and I am loving it so far!
