Can Apple revolutionize textbooks & education ?

All I can think of is another reason to be locked to the Apple ecosystem. When we have so many formats, WTH should we have this?

thats limiting education to ipads, whereas the students should be given a choice to choose,
if they can sell ipads to students at 10k thats a different story, but i would rather stick to traditional methods than switching to ipad
