CPU/Mobo Can i buy an OEM 165?

Hey ppl,

Planned to buy a comp.... got all the stuff except for the processor. thought of going for an opty 165 but retails gone out of stock. I was quoted a price of 17400 for the 165.

OEM comes for 18K but with a different fan and heatsink..

1) Thermaltake TR2TT TR2 M6 (K8) 80mm Ball Cooling Fan/Heatsink

2) there was some glacier fan i dont remember 1GLC something...

Do you ppl think its work the extra money for the OEM version??
Please advice.
 
Err retail is generally priced higher than oem. Oem generally means limited warranty mostly 15-30 days. So confirm that first and post back.
 
why would you buy OEM when retail is available.

Retail will be boxed packed and with good copper heatpipe design heatsink.

Thermaltake TR2TT TR2 M6 is very very basic al cheapo useless heatsink. it wont do good on dual core CPUs.

Retail guarantees that you will get proper support directly from AMD india.
 
the issue is Retail is out of stock in Chennai, thats why the dealer is offering me an OEM version.... any ideas where else i can get a 165?
or should i settle down for a 3800+ X2 ?

Prices would be of real help.
