Power supply at my house is through a Stabilizer , which makes it fluctuate very often , So do i need to connect external hdd(Lacie HDD) power thru a UPS or the adapter provided with HDD will take care of such fluctuations??

Isn't the point of a stabiliser to eliminate (stabilise) the fluctuations?

No , Stabilizer simply maintains a voltage range say from 200-240 V no matter whatever is the input and doing that it can jump from 200V to 240V in a fraction of second.

at any cost use the adapter provided to connect to whether be it stabilizer or the mains...

if you eliminate adapter then you also eliminate hdd.

check the adapter for its input voltage operation range.

and stabilizer is supposed to maintain 230-240V constantly. going via stabilizer makes sense.
