PC Peripherals Can i connect UPS in series and work?

I had an APC 300VA ups which could not handle my upgraded machine(450W SMPS) alone. So , I bought another APC 500VA ups and due to power socket inavailability , i have currently connected the 300VA ups to the new one . The old one is managing the monitor alone for me.

Please tell me whether there is anything wrong in doing so?
Wanting to play safe. A very newbie question. help please.
 
Your 500VA APC UPS will have 2 sockets that have battery backup, and a 3rd socket without battery backup. Connect your old UPS to that 3rd socket without battery backup. The way i see it there shouldn't be any problem.
