Can i format USB HDD in to NTFS

Hi i have recently got a Transcend StoreJet 25 mobile 160GB, it's factory formatted stage. i think FAT file system.

But it's not accepting files of large size, 3GB above ?. will it be ok if i format in to NTFS.

advices are welcomed. but dont crap thread.

Yes. External HDDs are supposed to be in NTFS format. Only flash drives are recommended to have FAT32

The "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool" v2.1.8 allows you to choose NTFS.

You can also do it thru Windows XP.

Google for info on both.
