Can I keep underclocking using K10stat often?

Hello,

Lately I saw this topic on Tom's hardware and I started to use the software 'K10STAT' . It reduces Voltage to processor and the NorthBridge. Well the problem is I cant do "underclocking" on Asus M3A78-EM so every time I boot I have to use the software to change the Voltages. Is there any risk invovled here, cause I keep doing it like 2-3 times a day.

The original Volt's are -->1.350(Proc/NB) & 1.100/1.350(Proc/NB)
Now using K10STAT -->1.085(Proc/NB) & 0.965(Proc/NB)

Is underclocking as dangerous as overclocking?

Help, please.

okay dude i

1. Have AMD 7750 on Asus M3N78EM with 4 GB Ram

2. Using K10stat for the last 5-6 months (not while ripping but on all other occasions like normal x264 and BD playback, music playback, browsing etc).

3. i used to undervolt earlier to 0.70-0.75V (proccy) and 0.950V (NB) without getting BSOD normally. Temp on the stock cooler were around 38-40C for the proccy and 42 for MB. I use a small case dumped in a cabinet with a big hole at the end (the carpenter has to be shot for not showing up for the last 4 months to make the opening larger). There has been no damage except a couple fo BSODs when i tried playing the NB voltages further - 1 is fine.

BTW with 0.85 (proccy) and 1 (NB) - the machine is prime stable. What fan do you use?

Have fun - cheers

Well, I did try using Prime and Everest for only 12 mins. They were stable , but I have to try an elongated test.

I only have stock fan on processor and five 50 Rs. fans along with a Mercury Case. The temps are really amazing when I decrease the voltages compared to before.

I meant problems or damage to hardware while underclocking over n over again .

Nopes no danger at all, undervolting and frequent changes in voltages will not damage your hardware, but cheap PSU's can.
