Can I use an WIFI modem with a WIFI router?

Stupid doubt..
My MT882 died, so I removed my Buffalo G125 running tomato and went back to the old WA1003a from BSNL..

but, I'm missing all the custom stuff I had setup with tomato (basically the Night unlimited stuff) so want to know, will connecting the WA1003a to the WAN port of the G125 work?

I'll be running pretty long cables, to increase the wifi spread through my house..
