I have a Sony Vaio SVS15113FXB laptop and as per its specs, it says that there is Bluetooth in it. When i go to Start -> Run and type Bluetooth, the only thing i get is "Bluetooth File Transfer". There is no separate switch to turn on/off BT on this thing. Looking at the device manager it seems the BT and Wifi are integrated on same chip or something, i am not sure, not well versed with such technicalities. Specs say "Wireless-N Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0"
Here is the amazon listing from where i had bought this laptop: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00889O754/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I need to know whether my laptop can do Bluetooth audio ? I have a small BT receiver device with 3.5mm jack and i use that with my phone. Need to know if the laptop as well can transmit sound over BT to my receiver ?
Could not find any option to do so.

Yes it should - pair the laptop and the reciever and change playback devices - right click on volume icon in statur bar and click play back devices.[DOUBLEPOST=1374178875][/DOUBLEPOST]Set the BT receiver as default.

The problem is that i am unable to figure out any of the bluetooth settings anywhere. I have no idea where to see. In control panel there is nothing called "Bluetooth".
I just did a search in the RUN part about bluetooth and i get Bluetooth file transfer. Did not try though.
As per the specs of the machine, it definitely as BT.

Ok figured it out. The Bluetooth was supposed to be turned on manually from within (no physical switch) and I was able to successfully pair with audio BT device and make it work.
