Well, in the area I live in, no wired internet provider is providing service and as a result I have been forced to look at wireless internet providers. BSNL EVDO is looking like a good option. But the BSNL asshats at my local tel exchange said that they won't give me a demo and it will be my responsibility to check if I get singal in my area or not.

So, can you lend me your BSNL EVDO modem for a few hours just to check signal strengh in my area? I live at Chavan nagar, Pune-Satara road.

Thanks,

Abhijeet.

You don't need to ask anyone here to lend you a BSNL EVDO USB Dongle

.. Just walk-in to your nearest BSNL office and ask them for EVDO trial.. They will give u a DEMO dongle but you'll have to give them 1k deposit and they will return it when you give back the dongle..

If you're lucky you will get good speed.. Download all you want for 1 day and give back the dongle and get your money back

I went to 2 tel exchanges. First didn't have any EVDO dongles and second was not ready to offer a demo.

What does TRAI has to do with it? Is there any rule or regulation regarding demo? It's not about asking promised speed, it's about making a dongle available for demo. TRAI has nothing to do about it.
