Graphic Cards Can the 6200TC 256MB be overclocked

Hi Guys

After thinking a lot i have decided to get a 6200TC 256MB card.

Can these 6200's be OCed for some FPS from the games.

will play the games mostly at 800x600 resol.

Also whats the fps for smooth game play.

And getting a Gainward 6200TC 256MB
 
You can I think OC the core, but AFAIK most of the 6200 TC's come without any fans, and personally overclocking a gpu is just for increased score on 3d mark etc, real world gameplay the effect is negligible.

How much are you getting it for ?
 
i just assembled a comp with 256MB TC for mine cousin ...... with venice 939 and A8N-E .... his 3dmarks05 with stock configuration was 12xx ..... but heatsink getts prrety hot so i fitted a 40mm fan onto it and its running fine ..... i think u can play some games onto it .... as NFS UNDGND and UNDGND2 were running well on full detail with 800x600 .... then Prince of persia was also on full detail 1074x768 ..... anyways if u can get the non TC version with 128MB of ram from ASUS thats a nice OCer ...... on one forum i have seen one guys reached 32xx 3dmarks05 with little bit of extra air kooling

I disagree.... I played NFS UG 1 on my old comp with an old GF MX 440SE 128mb. I could play at 800 x 600 and at medium settings. But when I oc'ed the card, I could increase the detail level and the effect was visible.

I could get decent framerates even at the higher level of details. I did not have Fraps and so, I do not know the exact figures.

But I can say that it made a huuuuge difference. The lighting of the cars, the sheen, the light reflecting off the roads, etc.... it was waaaay better when I oc'ed my card.
