Hi Guys,

i m having MSI motherboard with onboard HD4200 graphics. Can i use it to play NFS:HP and the upcoming NFS:Run at lowest possible resolutions ? I don't fancy much graphics but the game shouldn't lag.

If not, can u guys recommend a GPU within 5-6K max. But the emphasis should be laid on the above point.

TIA

an HD 6670 for around 4.5k should be able to do it at medium quality. At what resolution you are playing on. At anything lower than 1680*1050, it might be able to do @ high settings.

I have tested NFS HP 2010 on my friends rig with HD4200, its lags definitely in the car selection screen at 1024x768, In some events it definitely lags especially in the Police chase where lots of car and crashes are involved... Actually even if you dont see the lag, the speed of car definitely feels slow...

If you want a card for decent gaming at resolutions below 1366x768 a 5670 is must buy

i have experiences of both the games NFS:HP and NFS:Run on HD4250.

Config: Athlon II X2 2.7Ghz,2GB DDR3 1333Mhz ram.Overclocking cpu to 3.3Ghz and gpu to 950Mhz there is a small improvement of 1-2 frames.

NFS:HP At 1024x768 it runs on 14-16 FPS,1366x768 9-11 FPS.

NFS:Run At 1024x768 it runs on 8-11 FPS,1366x768 never crosses 9 fps. So this game is not playable on hd42xx series.

U need at least gt240 or hd 4670 graphics card to run these games smoothly.
