can VMware installed Xp detect non vista hardware

I have a creative sound card old model for which I need xp 32bit to work.

My main OS is Vista x64 but it does not detect the hardware so I have to keep the multiboot option.

Is it possible to install Vista & then install xp-sp3 under VMware, will XP then be able to then detect the creative sound card & be able to work with the installed xp 32 bit drivers? The main concern is will vmware (x64bit) be able to detect my creative sound card?

This would avoid the multiboot which I only need for creative sound card.

try it ...it hardly takes 25 mins to intall an os on vmware...

Thank you for sharing the information and as per Xp VMware installation high time process. But it can detect the vista hardware.
