Recently I had a deal here on TE for Z3 Compact.:)
All is good with the phone except for the battery performance.:(

So yesterday I visited Sony service center and explained them the issue.
I requested them to replace my battery but they said it only depends if you battery is at fault or not.
And they told that battery has 1 year warranty now this is a surprise as battery along with accessories only has 6 months warranty. (Somebody confirm this) May be for high end models it can be though m not sure on this.

And also I told them not to update my phones software to the latest and they replied we have to perform that to rule out any software issues before touching hardware components. And that whatever latest software is available will be applied by default.
Now this is ridiculous.

In the evening I visited Sony showroom/galleria just to get clue/hands-on on similar model and explained my scenario to the attendee. He told me to raise my tone with the service people and demand a battery replacement, else once my warranty ceases I'll have to buy a new battery and these service people are way too smart as well.o_O

So can we actually force the service guys to really act upon our request and go a bit off track from their so called standard procedures ??

Its your choice. You may get out yelled be careful. Its India!! :p

Its true, the battery is just 6 months
