Hi,

I don't like "virus32win" ID and name change has been taken off from TE. So the main query is, can I start with a new ID? Is it legitimate with the forum to do so?

The admins might start a name change thread later so maybe it would be better to wait for a while

even some mods have 2 IDs..but the purpose is for the dealership..

i do not see a reason why not as long as it is not to scam people.

moreover, i do not see a reason why not to make a new ID everyday if post count and reputation is not a concern. although you may need a different mail ID for each..

Being a hardly known member i rarely care for green rep bar and post count, suddenly i have started disliking virus32win so want to get rid of it:no:
 
There were a few threads before this one requesting name changes. They were assured that name changes would happen in future...

Let's hope it happens before we expire... :lol:

BTW, did I mention that I too need a change of username....?? :ashamed:
 
@OP, have patience you will have your reward. Currently few threads have been started for this purpose, they will hear you.

@neha, you want to keep this name wont you:P
 
Forums like indianvideogamer.com have an option to change your userid in the Control panel. You can do this up to 50 times before it gets locked. tracking previous user ids is also pretty simple as all you have to do is click on the Display Name change history link...wonder if TE can implement this?

I don't think you are a hardly known member. Out of curiosity, which name are you looking for?
 
I know at least there was (is ??) one member on this forum who had multiple Ids, one for dealer section and one used everywhere else on forums, something by name 200mph or similar.
 
Need a name change too... If the mods can actually start a name change thing than it will be really good for many people...
Cmon MODS let us change our names atleas once....
 
Yeah, im looking out for a change as well.. btw is the control panel option possible that Farenheit mentioned?

I'm 100% sure, after some time you start dislike THIS id/name too :( Don't use combined but single name as id.
 
TE Sucks due to this thing. in Vbulletin forums admin can change the username, IBF is one good site where u ask admin and he changes the username for you.
 
^^ I dont think that is correct and not many people here may agree with you.

It is just to maintain consistency across the forum and also to easily identify the members.
 
The thread earlier was started by me. Here, comes another thread. Hope MODS are listening to members call and attend to it. Please atleast once.

@Neha- Please do not change your name, we cant afford to miss that name:P

Thats bull****, you have no right to say so. Changing the username is not a baby's work, let the admin do there work, If you don't like your name, PM the mods/admins but stop posting this types of word against TE. I don't like Someone commentind on TE in this way and i bet others won't like it either.

Before choosing the username you should have thought twice. Its not fair to speak rubbish against TE when you yourself would solved the problem in the first place.
 
Sorry if i hurt u ppl.. but The Truth is Mostly Bitter but Always Better! I asked one of the moderator to change my username and he is like Wait for Admin to announce anything like that.. I mean i have id's in other Vbulltein Forums and they just did change the username in a minute.

AFAIK mods don't have access to these stuffs, they just can;t change your username, thats work is done by the admins.

As mods have already said, there is a time for everything, so just wait like other members, admins will soon announce the name change thread so something like that. have patience man. Though they are admins yet they have other things to do.

And regarding the name change thing in other forums, it might also be possible here. Its upto the mods, if they enable it or not. IMHO that system is not good. It have more cons then pros.
So mate just wait for the right time :)
