Hi, I currently have the Crossroads X3 and while I am very happy with it, the problem is my 3rd Gen Ipod has poor bass and the X3 had low bass to begin with. I tried the X3 on my computer and it had a resonable bass level. But on the ipod the bass is not there.

So I want some canal earphones that have more bass. The Crossroads X3i came to mind, but many people are complaining of poor build quality. I travel by local train daily so I need something more durable.

My budget is max $100 but would prefer something cheaper.

Also I would have to import these, so Jaben will most likely be the store where I would buy these from.
 
btw..i am looking at the exact same price range for canal phones too and am mostly going to go for the ultimate ears super fi 3
 
Thanks for replying, but the Xbi I heard has a real overpowering bass. I am looking for something with punch, but not so much to kill everything else. In that regard the X3i suits me the best - bits into my budget very well and sounds great at the same time.

@Stalker - Are you facing any issues with the build quality of the X3i ?
 
nope.. none as of today.

if you follow the forums at jaben.. you'll know that they have been responding to feedback... apparently the build quality has improved over time.

ive not had any issues with mine... and im not very careful.. keep tugging them.. dropping my player.

point here being.. u have a bigger budget na.. so you could look a lil bit beyond too. else x3i are the way to go.

@Stalker - Yeah, but at my budget there are almost NO good canal phones or IEMs with a punchy bass which I can easily get. If I had someone traveling to the US, then I wouldn't have a problem. But I don't !

Also does only the X3i have free shipping, or any earphone I get from Jaben ?
 
the prices listed on the Jaben site are inclusive of shipping to you... if ur looking at the x3i's,, then they might have an interesting deal for you..

Hey man, that seems pretty good ! I am definitely interested in that X3i. I am sure we should be able to find some buyers for the other 2 phones.

thinking of the MMX1s,,, not found any reviews/articles.. nothing.. :(

so have no idea how they are gonna be... however.. they do come from a good manufacturer(though they focus more towards pro-audio) + they seem to be dead cheap in this combo.
 
They sell for about 55 Pounds. So couple that with the Crossroads at $57, and the Audio-Technica (Sells for about $9), $113 seems to be an amazing price !

I too looked for a review of the Beyer. But couldn't find any.

Thanks Udit ! Its just that I have no way of getting those earphones here ! Also the bass is lacking in those earphones. Something I want !!!

@Stalker - It seems the MMX-1 are the same as the Beyer DT234 pro which seem quite good. They retail for $99 !
