Storage Solutions Cannot format external HDD of iomega

I have a 320gb HDD of iomega. I am not able to format it. Whenever i try to format it, it says that 'windows was not able to format the drive'.

Pls help how to do it.

Go it Start> right click on My Computer> Manage>Admin Tools > Disk Management > Storage ...There check if ur drive is seen at the bottom...Try to format from there...

Also try replace the usb cable....I faced similar issue for WD 1TB Hdd which was fixed by replacing faulty cable...

Thirdly try low level format utility, this down fix the issue...

If not , open the hard disk(if not in warranty) connect it to laptop or get a new casing..

Tried the first 2 options but no use.

Reg. 3rd option, no idea how to do it.... So pls help...

I have already tried it and it did'nt worked.
