I just reformatted and reinstalled Windows 8.1 on my PC, currently downloading windows updates. In the mean time I started installing latest apps like firefox, chrome, vlc etc and while trying to install latest pidgin IE and Windows doesn't allow running the installer saying "smart screen detected corrupt signature" 
Could this be something to do with the recent sourceforge fiasco (this is where pidgin hosts their downloads) and anyone got any suggestions, like alternate official download location? (dont ask me to compile from source please!)[DOUBLEPOST=1433881172][/DOUBLEPOST]Doh. Nevermind. There is a "More info" text link in the smart screen popup, when I clicked that, it presented a button to "Install anyway" which I did and it worked so now I'm hoping I didn't install some crapware on my shiny new OS installation.
