Cannot read imported mails in Windows Live

I was using Windows Live with Win XP 32 bit

I have upgraded to Win7 64 bit now

I had exported all my messages in win XP in a folder

Now when i import the same, I am able to read the heading but not the content

The messages are not corrupted because I can read the contents when I click on each message in the stored folder

I had posted in the Windows7 help forum also but have not got a working solution as yet

I tried to use Mozilla Thunderbird but it does not support importing messages in windows live format

Please advise me a solution or another software which can read the mails stored in Windows live format

Some time back I went from Windows Live to TB portable. I think I used this :

I keep TB portable on separate drive, so it is always accessible - I multi-boot, reinstall Win quite often !

I installed the addon in Thunderbird but still could not import the messages
