I m thinking of buying new camera for 15-18 k . How is Canon IXUS 100IS? It doesnt hve wide angle lens. How its compare to sony T 90?
 
Suggest you consider the Sony W270. I just bought it myself last week. Very good camera and much more features than Canon Ixus 100 in almost the same price.

dont buy a camera cause of the video recording times. canon might be recording in higher resolution and bigger size than the sony.
ex: usually canons record in 640x480 and 5mp whereas sony would be 320x240 and 2 mp.

its not possible you could get 40 mins of hdvideo on a 2gb card without sacrificing quality.

You are wrong mate. :)

Both record videos in the same resolution, i.e. 1280x720 at 30fps

The difference in filesize is only because of the better MPEG4 compression codec used by the Sony.

Don't u use MP3 for audios? Or do you still carry large WAV coded songs on your hard disk :P

40 mins | 21600 mb
canon saves in .mov format @23mbps (user review on dpreview.com) so no need for me to calculate that.
 
yup videos are nice.

I made a HD video from it when Eiffel tower was going bling bling at the night..

Lovely cam[very wide angle]...Although battery isn't sufficient.
