PC Peripherals Canon MP150 wont scan!

I have a problem in my Canon's MP150 product in scaner it doesn't work i don't why it always appear this msg"Cannot communicate with scanner,scanner may be turned off,a cable may be disconnected,please check the status&try again..scanner driver will be closed..Code:155,0,0" but actually the USB is working properly,although the printer is working normally..but i don't why the scanner doesn't work??!

This is the exact same problem i am facing!! i found this on another forum...but the i couldnt find the solution to it.
Some1 there said that its a SP2 problem n a patch file is available...but i cant find it on the canon site..

Also sometimes the scanning stops midway!!

I am runnning Win XP SP2 on AMD X2 3800+ n MSI K8NGM2 FID
