Thanks. Was about to purchase the 400D. Now I will postpone my purchase especially due to the 28-135. Only wondering about the price in INR when it reaches here.
 
^ Dont' expect Canon India's official pricing to be anything less than 25% of USMRP.

Grey prices should match those of the US though :)

But as far as I know we get them at lower prices at local dealers compared to official price/MRP, just as in case of computer parts. And I have a reliable and reputed dealer nearby. I will never go for grey due to experience with "Coolpix 5700" years back when they were not available with bill/warranty.

BTW surprised to find the official price of 400D dropped to @ 42995/- (Canon India site)
 
^ Yeah, but its still ~ 32k grey.

Worse is 30D pricing, 60k in India, when it sells for 40.4k in the US :|
