Canon SX10IS and Canon 50D Camera Bags/Pouch

Guide
Well, I have bought new cameras.

Canon SX10 IS is already here, and Canon 50D with 18-200mm (for now) is coming sometime next month in Jan.

So I need good camera cases for these two cams. There are some good cases available for 50D already with, but any suggestions are welcomed.
But I have had no luck so far in finding a good secure case for SX10IS.

I can purchase one locally or online. Thats not a problem. Just want a good compact case for SX10 IS. If nothing good can be found, the last thing to do will be to purchase one of those generic mid size cases but I wanted to avoid that as much as possible.
Any suggestions?

Stick with branded ones like Lowepro. These are really sturdy and well built to protect the cam from bumps, falls and even rain. Get one where you can keep all your camera accessories in the bag itself e.g. extra pair of batteries, chargers, wires to connect to PC, RCA wires, lens caps, etc. Get something in which your camera fits snugly when 'prepared for action' i.e. with all the lens adapters fitted in and ready to shoot once you switch it on. Don't buy a large bag which will have space left over after you put your cam in. It would mean that the camera will have space to bump into the bag walls when you travel.

+1

i have a lowepro ex 140 which i got from alpha for 890 bux , retails for 1300 , these are real good all weather bags , so bag my baby niece has dropped my slr cam from 3 feet by pulling the bag wit hthe cam in it , nothings hapened to it , worth the money , buy em

^^ Case Logic SLR bags are too expensive IMHO. Went to town the other day to get a lens hood and saw a decent Case logic bag which could hold just the cam with attached lens and maybe a small prime lens. I asked the dealer the price and he told me 1890 !!!!

Best stick with Lowepro in that case ! I have a 2 year old Lowepro bag for my old Fuji cam and it is still is very good condition in spite of my rough usage.

Bought myself a Lowepro CompuDayPack. Big enough for my DSLR, laptop, accessories and the kitchen sink :P very happy with it :D

I'd say stick to a lowepro. awesome build quality
