Cans for Less than 3.5k

Friend is on a lookout for Cans. His budget is quite strict at 3.5k. Dont know much about sennheiser so thought of posting here. I have got the Philips SHP8900 for myself recently and now its not available -.-. He decided to buy after checking mine.

Can someone please shed some light or suggest which one to get?

dont know which model is available for 3.5k but sennheisers are very sturdy and they give 2 YEAR warranty and replace it everytime you
mess it....even if it is your own fault :yahoo:

Koss PortaPro. Offers lifetime warranty (not sure in India though). One of the best cans of all time - 25 year old design - still going strong.
