Can't install LG USB drivers

Hi

I am using LG GX200 mobile. I downloaded the driver file from LG site for installing but whenever I try to install it, it shows that the drivers are installed but when I plug in the mobile phone to Windows, it says drivers not installed properly.

Can anyone tell any other software which can work as drivers for LG mobile.

Uninstall the drivers completely. Plugin the phone first and then install the drivers or let windows find updated drivers for your phone from internet.
 
My PC is not showing the drivers as installed, whereas when i earlier had installed the drivers, it was shown by windows as installed. So i am unable to either again install nor uninstall the drivers.
 
On LG's site the only driver for your phone is a 10MB LGUniversal usb driver and its mentions to unplug the phone before it is installed. Since you already installed the drivers, it may be some settings in the phone that prevents windows from recognizing it properly. Is there some "usb type" mode setting in the phone?

Try all modes one by one, and if none work, then above solution by @vivek would be the best bet.
 
No there is no usb type mode in the phone. I have also tried the drivers from the CD given by LG but that also did'nt worked. what vivek has told looks good but by that method, i am not able to save the data which is on my mobile.

So is there any other software which can find the drivers for this phone or ....any other way....?
 
LG Product Support for GX200

Use the above link to get the drivers for the phone. Now before you go about installing, uninstall any existing drivers that you may have installed, delete any folders that it may have created and also delete all the registry entry that it has created.

To delete the registry entry, goto start and in run type regedit. When the registry editor opens, goto Hickey_Local_Machine and navigate to software and then Hickey_Local_User and navigate to software and delete the LG entry or folder on the left hand side. Once you have done this, download the driver from the link i have given above and follow the onscreen instructions.
