Cant install windows 7 on vmware

Guyz I wanted to try 64-bit windows 7 on vmware but it says your processor does not support 64-bit virtualization.I am having a e2140 which is a 64-bit processor.So does it means I can only install the windows 7 on normally and not virtually.:S

which os ur using currently? 32 bit?

perhaps your e2140 processor doesnt support "VT" instructions which are needed by VMware I believe... you can run a 64 bit guest over a 32 bit OS if your CPU has the special virtualisation instruction set...

i think its vmware that is giving the error message because hacker is trying to run win7 x64 over 32 bit host... vmware does support this but probably wont work with this CPU
