The tuning freq in US and India Differ. But if the HU has that switching then it is possible to work here.

^^ US FM stations also use 88 to 108 frequencies, but the difference is While most countries use frequencies ending in .1, .3, .5, .7, or .9, some use .0, .2, .4, .6, and .8. (this includes US).
Some Head Units are made for US specifically, they will tune only in .0,.2,.4 ...... .8 , you can not get the frequencies of .1,.3 .... .9 (which we use here in India). There are options in some HUs to choose the odd numbers and even number channels.
