It's an auction. It wont sell for 1 buck. It never will.

you need to put in a bid. Then someone else will up that and soo on and so forth

Ya but i have seen such auctions on ebay where the final bidding price is ard. 200.Even at that price it seems too good to be true.So how does the seller make a profit in that case?

eBay India: Gents Wrist Watch (Black) at Rs.1/- (item 250739684662 end time 15-Dec-2010 21:39:12 IST)

In that case, it is very obviously going to be a fake/super cheap super crappy watch.

The sort that you can buy for 50 bucks on the footpath outside a Mumbai suburban railway station.

I have bidded 2-3 times. Never won!! :P

I feel that if the (about to be) winning bid is not acceptable to the seller, he'll simply create a bogus account & place a higher bid. Then he would ask the bogus buyer (himself) to pay & upon non payment, report the same to ebay...... :|

Something upon that lines seems the most logical explanation to me. Even I find it hard to believe that a seller can always sell at the winning bid & yet make a profit.... :S

Seller will set a minimum price that he is expecting for it. Untill you meet it, it will never be yours

Golden rule of bidding on ebay.. NEVER EVER bid before the ABSOLUTE LAST SECOND before bidding ends :)

Have won on quite a few used purchases that I've made through ebay with just this.

Yeah but I have a question. Sellers obviously set a minimum price before which they wont sell the product. So what's the point of bidding if it will not sell for less than the seller wants to? Why not just buy the 'buy it now' products on ebay, which will be more or less the same price?

the point is someone Might bid a higher value for the item and in all this the seller can make a bigger profit .

this auction thing was introduced really for old items, as the seller does not know the real value of the item, so the value automatically gets decided by the biddings done by the ebay members( based on the demand ) , but now politics is involved in bidding has made all this , um "Sad". ( as nehaladsul said )

Have tried best to grab Casio Edifice...

One day it was around 1000 Rs & god knows what bidders came in & price shot up to 5000 Rs before auction ended.. Seems seller only did with fake ID as feedback of those IDs were only 1 or 2.

Looking for Casio Edifice series now.. Any idea where do we get cheap & best :) ?

^ Praks - Try Ebay US and looking for the specific item numbers in Ebay India GEB if you dont have anyone in the US to bring it down for you.

^^

Thanks for input.. I dont mind taking even Duplicate one if its of great quality at lesser price.. Many people selling on Ebay India are also giving dups at 6000 Rs

Do you think any place to get it cheap ?
