For a few days a stoopid message used to flash on sctreen for a fraction of a second on shutting down and the duration was so short that I could not read a single word of it .... so I used my digital camera and shot a movie of the shut sequence and played it back frame by frame and here is the crook ...... Zone Alarm...
I am mentioning this so you people can also do this in case you want to read any message that flashes across the screen too fast to read.
One another useful use of the digital camera is to look at any remote control - like a TV remote for instance - and you can see the remotes light when you press a button - this will tell you if the remote is working.
