The CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) is a DirectShow filter pack specifically built for playing anime. It has been assembled by some of the most knowledgeable people in online anime distribution, and one of the primary design goals is to play as much as possible with as little as possible. The CCCP attempts to be as unintrusive on your system as possible. The pack is also now officially endorsed by the Matroska Project, the developers who designed the MKV format.

Using this for a long time.....has almost everything you'll ever need....

But for running 1080p x264 videos on a slower pc, i'd recommend using coreavc (most popular codec for x264) rather than ffdshow (with cccp), for x264 decoding...it uses a much lesser processor power.....You can pare coreavc with Media Player Classic, and it runs everything fine....(you'll need to disable ffdshow for x264 in cccp settings for this)....

KMPlayer FTW :ohyeah:

tried VLC, Klite, MPC, CCCP, WinDVD, PowerDVD, WMP10, WMP11, GOM & Zoom Player lately and realized that all are incompetent kids in front of KMPlayer :bleh:

KMPlayer is true plug & play:

Install - Set to Quality Mode - Watch any format which exists even FLV ;)

^^^ okay if you so insist :P

I configured the kmplayer to work with ffdshow-tryouts(cccp 07-22 build) and h264 format with coreavc :D .

Try the 1080p movies on kmp, it'll never play it properly however fast the machine is.

I use coreavc+cccp and play the movies in media player classic.

^^^ correct , because the KMP codec isn't as good as Coreavc .

rPok, of course dude I seriously need Coreavc , lol my p4 2.8 is a poor product , my Celeron M 1.5Ghz laptop plays 720p HD videos better than it really!! and for a second, forget about 1080p vids

what? its only a player not a codec package ,

show me the KMP link or include a screenshot of where it says Coreavc in the KMP settings

EDIT: problem with 1080p .mkv only - The KMPlayer's Forums

Also I advise you to Install CoreAvc and disable Internal Video VOdec for H264 in Kmplayer and then Add external Codec and selct coreavc in H264 selection.
[/quote] :P read above .

bleh , The KMP 2.9.3 plays all my .mkv (h264) badly not even smooth(with internal codec) .
