No, you can install newer versions over the top of older versions, without having to uninstall.

Registry Mechanic is also good.

Although I'm warning everyone, if you're not sure of what you're doing with Crap Cleaner, don't use it. You might erase some data that is required by your system or a program you often use and it could cause serious problems.

As far as registry cleaners go, nothing beats jv16 RegSupreme Pro.
Registry Mechanic can't find half the invalid entries RegSupreme turns up with.

Yeah, RegSupreme is the best registry cleaner, I have came across. hyeah:

And I also say to try DustBuster XP it is a unnecessary file remover, At first run on Windows XP machine it may remove hundreds MB to GB's of data :S

Agreed

Althogh the caution is true with anything that is done with your Registry.
Registry Mechanic and Crap Cleaner both let you make backups before you make any changes.
Crap Cleaner is Freeware. Registy Mechanic isn't.

I use Registy Mechanic 4.0 with CC they seem to do a great job,though i need to give RegSupreme a try after what i heard from you guys.

Jv16 is not a great program, registry mechanic is good.
I have used System mechanic too without much problems.
