And yea, i think at 1k, you will get a local or a grey market piece, which may or maynot have good quality. Unless you are interested in second hand good quality one, i suggest u increase ur Budget

the MP3 clarity was awesome..was better than soundstorm....

says it has 80 sec skip protection..relity is 40 secs for MP3 and zero for audio cds
Mangesh said:Sorry for dumbo,
But what is Skip Protection stands for???????:S
superczar said:basically skip-protection enabled players have a small amount of random-access memory inbuilt...the drive reads ahead the song and dumps it in the memory....When the player encounters a mild bump/shock/shake, the laser can't read the disc properly, in which case cached data is processed by the player...
dipdude said:mangesh what is ur need walkman for tapes, cd walkman for mp3 cds or you want to go for portable(solid-state, best skip protection) mp3 players for ex(256 mb, 512 mb etc)
Mangesh said:I would like to use it while Jogging and while in traveling by Bus/Rail, my budget is max 2 k. so please suggest me any nice Walkman for MP3 with AM/FM.
