The central government has directed senior officials to use simple, spoken Hindi for official correspondence, after a review revealed that most ministries were nowhere close to meeting the target of using the official language for three-fourths of file notings.

Write all letters and orders in simple Hindi spoken in the usual course and use short sentences, says the directive, sent by secretary (official languages) Girish Shankar to senior officials, including secretaries in all central ministries.

Laughable. Not cause Hindi is a good or bad language but for the simple reason that not everyone knows it nor is proficient in it.

Acche din finally aa gaye.
I say lets make Hinglish the official language of India.

And all officials are forced to use SwiftKey to communicate

I think the problem here is the number of uneducated or poorly educated people in BJP that hail from northern states. To me it looks like they want to impose Hindi on everyone simply because those people can understand Hindi at least.

You can just see the southern states following suit in their own languages (!)

That should put an end to this stunt :D

Well, that is exactly what is going to happen. While its fine if more and more people start speaking a common language of their own accord, trying to impose it would surely backfire. There is no damn reason for Hindi to be any more deserving than any other language in India.
