im just curious to know how long you a user can last without a firewall+anti virus + maybe an adawarre program since this is the de facto combo for securing ur box. NO,im not saying we all use them, and it doesnt mean that not using them makes u any smarter :P ,but again ... maybe we can have a challenge as to who can stay the ongest online without the above said trio WITHOUT CRASHING or ANY PROBLEM

PS: who ever does it though,i say is gonna be one brave dude :P I remmeber removing my zonealarm for 5 mins and i get all sorts of weird ad boxes, remote pings ,u name it !

Anyone with their experinces ?

Well me! At the present i dont have have:
Anti-virus
anti- spyware
firewall (but that sp2 firewall is on;but thats crap so dont take it as one :P )

I dont have these for the past 1 week or so... and will continue so till my system crashes :bleh:

last may ithink....
no firewall, no Av....i dont use adblockers anyway.
i lasted the whole of may, i dunno how..but in june i got all kinds of viruses(beagles, blasters, netskys.. wat not)..i just have it any more..
I had to take a lot of help from TA guyz(xtremely helpful) , but after then i always had a firewall.

I installed WIndows 2000 SP4 yesterday on my 2nd PC. COnnected to internet. And bang all it lasted was 7 Minutes before blaster and sasser attacked and brought it down. Just 7 minutes. I did not even opened the browser......

lol, even with ZAP, i think my pc has atleast 10-15 worms, all thanx to my LAN with my cousin :(
too lazy to clean all the mess up...

Windows XP SP2 fully patched + FF, since 4 mths now no issues. Infact I dont have any AV's installed.
Work:
Win 98se + Norton 2003 Updated + Zona Alarm pro set to highest settings. The machine is yet compromised...
