I went to watch Chandni Chowk to China this morning. My main reason for going was because I was meeting my college friends after quite a gap. I knew the movie would suck.

Where I was totally and hopelessly wrong was how BADLY it would suck.

This ranks right at the top of my worst movies list.

Slapstick humour(not really humour, but attempted), stupid action stunts, idiotic acting, stupid, useless hysteria and emotional scenes are some things that make this movie not worth even reading about.

I'm a good person(at least I like to believe so). However, I must have done something terrible to be destined to watch this movie. I'll try to pay for my earlier sins by warning other poor souls of this movie.

If you think I'm a harsh critic, digest this: I liked "Partner" more than "Hitch". That proves that I'm not the fussiest of movie-goers. But this takes the cake.

The story is convoluted. From the 12th minute, you know how it is going to end. But you dont feel like getting up because you have paid an obscene amount of money for the privilege of sitting in a comfortable seat in an air conditioned hall.

Even Deepika cant save this movie.

On the other hand, go for this movie with a bunch of guy friends. At least 6-7 of you. You can keep passing comments and trying the sing in Chinese. That is good fun!!

I had awesome fun in the theatre thanks to my friends. We tried speaking in Chinese long after the movie ended. This movie is so bad, I'm still trying to get over it. Been more than 2 hours.

Actually, noticing the recent slew of mindless and repetitive crap akshay has done, i knew something very very pathetic was coming, and this is it, i just knew it when i saw the very first theatrical trailer.
 
1 of the worst movies i have ever seen. sadly you posted too late. i had gone for the premiere.

deepika is named "meow meow" in the movie. the fact that the name so damn stupid, they went 1 step further & kept her surname also meow. lol
 
its directed by nikhil advani, what else would u expect!!

not akshay's fault..

he absolutely butchered the previous movie namely salam e ishq,

he tries to copy karan johar kind of movie,

little does he know, his mentor sux too, :p

that's the thing we (my frnds.) do to every moviee we watch :bleh:
i am a GREAT Akshy Fan .......right frm. my childhood when i used to see his action movies on TV :p .
BUT i haven't seen any AKSHAY KUMAR flick Theatere (that's coz i normally don't watch movies much ) . n i was going to watch this movie as my First Akki flick on theatere ........now statement frm. Nikhil makes me to drop this Idea :no:

Akki did told HT intreview that , for wacing this movie come brainless . it's noting IQ thing in it , it's Just FUN . it's a movie enjoyable with kids (if u(adults) come for this seriously, u will have BAD TIME ) . we have made this movie taking in mind cartoon thing ,where anything can happen (he mentioned we took in mind TOM & JERRY while making this ) . this movie has stuff which are just non technical , like Mithun sir kickin him & then he goes to space , it's foolish thing (yes, he said this ) u can only enjoy it , without taking theories ,IQ ,ec,etc...in mind .

@Nikhil - how are Fight scenes by Akshay ? .......atleat that should be good .
 
hindi movie goers should simply leave their brains at home and watch the movie for fun :p!!

No, I have not seen the film but Deepika looks damn hot in the title music video :D

They tried to copy Stephen Chow's nonsense comedy genre and failed miserably... You'll find lot of references/copies from many kung-fu comedy movies like Kung-fu Hustle, Arahan and Jackie Chan styled movies.

Anyway, I went to watch the movie only because of Akki. I knew that this would be brainless flick like Singh is Kinng, but Akki would be fun to watch. Then the moment I saw Directors Name in theater I knew this would be even more hopeless. Thankfully, I had company... so making our own jokes and being stupid helped us. :)

Not that anything that I remember... except probably the same actor from that movie.. :p (The guy who plays main villain in CC2C also played two roles in Kill Bill series)
 
I am still damn angry... Freakin wasted 200 bucks on it (& 1200/- Family Inclusive).. At times i was trying very hard just to fall asleep but sadly, i couldn't :(

Don't watch it even if you are paid to watch...
