Hi friends I would like to know some information regarding mobile network.I am using idea mobile service from Kerala and due to some job related matters I will be gone to Tamil Nadu and I would like to retain my existing number.Is it possible

I mean can I transfer my Kerala idea network to Tamil Nadu idea network not to any another network is it possible please replay me ASAP

You can as it is use the number in roaming but i think you don't want to incur roaming charges so you want to change home network. This you cannot do.
You can port to a network within the same circle but not to another circle.
