Forum Feedback Changes during the downtime

I liked the premium usergroup change.
it will prevent spam posts, and new members will make some effort n give valuable time on TE.
Overall it will improve the quality of posts and discussions,and of course more knowledge to gain.

Great work guys.

However i am finding the site a bit sluggish now, is it me or is this experienced by others also.
 
I am *very* enthusiastic seeing the recent list of changes :D I could not have asked for more!

However, We might run the risk of being called elitists, and these changes might risk inviting the ire of a significant majority. I hope that everyone can understand why these changes have been made, tolerate a few inconveniences and work with us :)
 
TE is back...
I was getting DEPRESSED!!!

the changes look positive - am keeping an eye out for the homepage as of now - looks empty and should have more interesting stuff soon...

*Phew* I missed TE so darn much for these past 48 hours! Thank god I have work to do as well. :P

The new changes should bring a LOT of much needed discipline to the fun around here. Great to see some of them being implemented so quickly - especially the premium member idea and helpfulness.

Loving the changes :) Especially the helpfulness points. Pretty nice to separate that whole section and implement helpfulness mod.
 
If one can view market, GT or whatever one is entitled to as a premium member, are they premium by default or need to go premium still? :S
 
i think you will have to enable the premium membership from CP, only then you will be to able to avail those features and priviledges. Correct me if i am wrong :ashamed:
 
I got pretty surprised this morning when i logged in and found my login not working....

Then tried requesting my password thinking that i forgot my own pwd or maybe was typing it wrongly....

Then later found out that the usernames requested by the users had been changed too...

Thanks to all the Admins/ Mods and Staff for the great work... :)
 
There are couple of "criteria" about premium membership that I have to question:

# Activity of the member on the forum(How much he posts and the quality of the posts)

# General behaviour of the member while talking and dealing with other members

No disrespect but there is/are 1/few/some existing members with this premium membership sticker who are doing nothing but the ones underlined above. Will the mods revoke premium membership title if the above criteria is not met after getting the premium membership by a particular person? If its not revoked, what's the point in giving premium membership? Anyone can take advantage of this.

For Example?
 
how about keeping an older version of the homepage for those who prefer the older home page?

the other changes to the site were much needed--the changes are much appreciated!
