Hi, Im looking for a charger for my samsung s23 ultra. Do you guys know any good charger that I can use for my mac (65w) as well as mobile? For now I do not require having multiple ports on the charger a single one will do.

Right now I use my mac charger but it takes around 1.5 hours to charge from 20 to 100. I have read that a 45w charger can do 0-100 in 60 mins which will be handy for me during travel as well.

PS: i bought the nothing GaN charger for 1.3k from Amazon but that was a fake and returned the same. It was not able to deliver more than 20w while it was mentioned for 65w output.

There are numerous fake Nothing chargers on Amazon. If you want to buy Nothing chargers then better to buy it from Nothing's own website. It's one of the few trustworthy GaN chargers available in India. Best if you can get your hands on an Anker, Ugreen or BaseUS GaN charger, though these might not be available easily here.

Nothing does not sell it’s charger on its own website :hilarious:

S23 ultra supports 45W wired charging only. So you if want exclusive for S23U and not higher output for any other purpose then better buy Samsung Original 45W charges.
Other brands like Anker can also do for cheap.
For electronics low price comes with cheap components and compromised safety.

for 45W samsung phones you want a samsung charger only.. because they have there own special protocol called PPS.. even if your charger has PD 3.0 45w it will not charge at 45w. you need PPS support (which also has multiple versions) on the charger itself, they've made it like this so they can sell there own chargers.

For eg: i bought a lyne 45W PD charger with PPS and still the charger does not charge at greater than 25W.. even tho it says super fasting charging 2.0 on my phone which should be 45W.

So my advise is dont risk it with other chargers, buy the original adapters atleast you'll be guranteed full speeds.

I am using the 45w Charger, it does not go higher than 20-25w for most of the time, it will only ever reach 45w for very short periods of time. This is for protection of the battery ig. The amount of time your phone will charge at high wattage depends on the temperature of the battery and also how much your battery is currently charged, if you're charging from 10% to 30%, it will charge at higher wattage as compared to 60% to 80%.

It charges my phone just under/around an hour, the 25w charger would take 12-15 minutes more. But it you find the 45w for the right price, it becomes worth it because of the 1.8m cable(5A) which is included.

Mines not the orginal charger.. but I haven't seen mine go above 26-27 even when phones at 20_30%

Phone is S25U, what phone are you using?

Are you using a 5A rated cable?
Mine is S23U, it does reach 40w in the first 5 minutes of charging or so.

Their implementation of PPS is horrendous, much like raspberry pi 5's offical charger which is at something like 5a/5.1v, with an undetachable cable, the offical spec recommends using 3a/9v.

All this is to say, these companies want to sell their own chargers at a markup after having removed them from the phones and I hate it(Damn apple).

The cable which displays the wattage is 5A yes.

But even with the official samsung phone cable that comes inbox the charging speed is the same.

It does say Samsung super fast charging 2.0 but charging speeds never exceed 26-27watts.

The aftermarket charger i bought also has pps support but I think it's the wrong voltage support. I think they have changed the pps voltages on the S25U.. so they can sell more chargers.

Scummy practices tbh.

This video shows the speed reaching 42-42w in the beginning, this matches with what I've experienced.

They should advertise it as upto 45w.

Which charger are you using?

Some brand called Lyne which i bought in the local market.. i know i shouldn't be expecting much from Chinese chargers but still lol.. on the box it said PD 45W and PPS and so i thought it should be good enough.
